MICROSCOPE: systematic errors

چکیده
Abstract The MICROSCOPE mission aims to test the weak equivalence principle (WEP) in orbit with an unprecedented precision of 10 −15 on Eötvös parameter thanks electrostatic accelerometers board a drag-free micro-satellite. is determined by statistical errors, due environment and instrument noises, systematic errors which this paper devoted. Systematic error sources can be divided into three categories: external perturbations, such as residual atmospheric drag or gravity gradient at satellite altitude, perturbations linked design, thermal magnetic from internal sources. Each evaluated bounded order set reliable upper bound WEP estimation uncertainty.

Medical errors in Iranian hospitals: systematic review
Background: Medical errors are those errors or mistakes committed by healthcare professionals due to errors of omission, errors in planning, and errors of execution of a planned healthcare action whether or not it is harmful to the patient. Medical error in hospitals increases morbidity and mortality and decreases patient satisfaction and hospital productivity. This study aimed to determine the...
متن کاملAsymmetric Systematic Errors
Asymmetric systematic errors arise when there is a non-linear dependence of a result on a nuisance parameter. Their combination is traditionally done by adding positive and negative deviations separately in quadrature. There is no sound justification for this, and it is shown that indeed it is sometimes clearly inappropriate. Consistent techniques are given for this combination of errors, and a...
متن کاملSystematic Errors: Facts and Fictions
The treatment of systematic errors is often mishandled. This is due to lack of understanding and education, based on a fundamental ambiguity as to what is meant by the term. This note addresses the problems and offers guidance to good practice. 1 RIVAL DEFINITIONS: UNCERTAINTY AND MISTAKE 1.1 Random Uncertainties and Mistakes The word error is used in several ways. The everyday dictionary defin...

متن کاملErrors in quantum tomography: diagnosing systematic versus statistical errors
A prime goal of quantum tomography is to provide quantitatively rigorous characterization of quantum systems, be they states, processes or measurements, particularly for the purposes of trouble-shooting and benchmarking experiments in quantum information science. A range of techniques exist to enable the calculation of errors, such as Monte-Carlo simulations, but their quantitative value is arg...
